We are all greatly sorry we have not kept the website up to date. We are all sophomore in high school and are in high level courses therefore our time is currently being dedicated to school work and extra-curricular activities, and have far less free time in which to do research for the blog. This means we are on some sort of a temporary hiatus but I am sure one of us will write something as soon as I have posted this. Please keep checking back and sending emails to us about new tracks coming out. Thank you so much for giving us 250 page views a day even after not having posted for over two weeks.
From,

Kanye Just put “Love Lock Down” on his blog. I personally think this is the worst vocals he has ever put on a track. The beat is more than hot, but it sounds like he recorded the chorus on garageband with a scarf on his face. I honestly laughed when he sang the chorus. He’s trying to cross genres again like he did from producer to rapper, but this is not working out. I love Kanye West to the fullest, but just because you have a voice box doesn’t mean you’re a singer…Disappointing. Hopefully his whole album won’t be like this.

“GhostHouse” is a new group from Chicago who recently won a Battle of the Bands Competition, and is creating heat ever since. “Rockit man” is serious. These guys have electronic beats, with chicago flows. Makes for an interesting combination…The Hook is a tad corny, but the crazy ass beat makes up for it completely.
The album is here, Titled “Group Therapy”
Oh and…They’re White
We apologize for the lack of postage, Isodope and Coco butta are both in AP classes, and we think Kickfluential may be in remedial classes…prayers for him

Jay-Z recently reported that he will be releasing another one of his famous albums in the Blueprint series and his last album as an artist on Def Jam. The album will be produced by any person who approaches Jay-Z with original and fresh material. So far the artists set to produce are Jay-Z himself, as well as Kanye West, Swizz Beatz and No I.D. The collaboration song Swagger Like Us will be featured on Blueprint 3, as well as T.I.‘s upcoming album Paper Trail, as well as a song called Dope Boy Fresh which he premiered live with Kanye West at Madison Square Garden on his Glow in The Dark tour. Dope Boy Fresh has leaked on the internet but has most likely been removed due to legal issues with Def Jam. This sounds like a promising cd.

Honestly, I don’t really bump Juelz Santana, or Dipset that much, but Julez has an nice verse on this track, and his voice goes great with the Beat.

My homie Steve from Best Of Both Offices hit me up with this banger earlier today, and I knew I had to put it up.
A.P – Free Rugged
I’m feelin this track. The beat is rediculous. Some shit you bump in the hood, and the lyrical content ain’t half bad niether.

Common is one of the most innovative, cultured rappers in popular rap today. In his early days he was known as Common Sense and stuck more to root type stuff, like back in the 80s. After his second release as Common he became more socially conscious in his raps and kept a political vibe in his raps ever since. He is currently touring in promotion of his upcoming album Invincible Summer, which was set to be release in late June but is now set to drop on September 22nd. Apparently, this will be a complete step away from his past works in their sense of social commentary and dark beats, taking a step towards more pop-radio-type electro influences beats and less deep lyrics.
“I created this music for the summer time, it’s about feeling good,” Common tells Billboard.com. “This is the type of music I felt was missing from my body of work.”
Common, luckily, is a consistently good rapper who seems to shine in almost all of his work, somewhat excluding his most recent release, 2007′s Finding Forever. However, it will be nice to hear a real rapper taking a shot at doing popular rap.

In terms of live performance, he will be performing at The Roseland Ballroom on Saturday, October 4th. While the tickets are somewhat pricey, at $50 a piece, Common is somewhat famous for his live shows. In addition, the opening act will be N*E*R*D. who are touring in promotion of their new album, Seeing Sounds. Sadly I have not heard the best things about N*E*R*D’s live performances nor am I too fond of the new record.
