Congrats Asher! An artist that we’ve been highlighting since his mixtape (June) stirred the hip hop world. He’s a good guy, dedicated to his fans, and makes good music (even though this beat isn’t the original).
Enjoy, and peep the Cool Kids in the video.

The homie Chuck with some new material, off of “Well isn’t This Awkward”(new mixtape).

MF Doom always comes with something original and crazy. But… Ballskin? Nevertheless it’s sounding crack, look for Doom making moves sometime soon.

Haven’t heard much about this head, but the more i hear the more I’m likin’ it. The title track of his upcoming mixtape, “Alive and Vibrant” (dropping on Inauguration day) is refreshing, check it. Here’s his myspace. Really take a listen to the songs on his Myspace, pretty cool stuff.
(Apparently this is an Illroots production, so shout out to them!)

Filed under: Music | Tags: M.i.a, N.A.S.A, new music, Nick Zinner, santogold, Spank Rock, Wale, young chris

This time they got M.I.A., Santogold, Spank Rock, and Nick Zinner. My jaw dropped along with the beat, this shit is DIRTY. I told you to look out for them, watch for their album “The Spirit of Apollo” dropping on Feb. 17th. Sorry, the track is a little dirty.
“Whacha Doin?” – N.A.S.A ft. M.I.A., Santogold, Spank Rock, and Nick Zinner

Also Young Chris throws down a go-go beat, kills it… and rightfully so puts Wale on the track.
“Searching” – Young Chris ft. Wale

Kid Cudi and Asher Roth go in at freestyles on a radio show…
I dare you to hate…

Now, I’m not a huge fan of Justin Timberlake, but it always seems that everything he drops is fire… especially when it features T.I.
“If I” – Justin Timberlake feat. T.I.

I didnt want to post this until I had a chance to verify the hotness, and it is confirmed…this album* (See The Video Below for an explanation) is official, and Charles Hamilton is the truth…Download it and experience another part of the Hamiltonization process.
“Pink Lava Lamp” – Charles Hamilton
I was going to tell you my favorite tracks, but this shit is consistently hot!!
After a surprise appearance at Wale’s show at the Highline, Chris dropped the new video for “The Promise Land”. A laid back, but serious song from the veteran MC.

A tough beat for Asher to rhyme over, and he whips out a story from the fourth grade… Nevertheless its hot shit.
“The Day I Got Crowned”-Asher Roth

Kid Cudi’s new track “Super boo” has A refreshing beat, with a timeless subject…women. I sort of brushed off Cudi earlier this year, but I truly enjoy his music a lot…Check it out!

First off, the Cool Kids are hopping on a Maroon 5 Remix CD. they chose to mix “Harder to Breathe”, and did a fairly good job. My friend did this to the same track a few years back, and it was a tad bit hotter. I’ll see if I can find it.
“Harder To Breathe”-The Cool Kid
Lastly, Asher Roth spits a depressing ass verse over “Runaway Love” by Luda and MJB. I always loved that track, and Roth just adds another perspective of childhood sadness in his version.
“Runaway Love”-Asher Roth remix (comes on about 1 minute 30 seconds in to the song)

So unexpected mannnnn! Good stuff, it’s really rough (Eminem spitting Dre’s verse) but either way its hot fire. I’m assuming it’s off Detox, or Em’s album. For now it’s on the “4th Quarter Mixtape”. Stay tuned for new versions.
“Number one” – Eminem (Prod. Dr. Dre)

Sorry for the lack of postage last night, we had to attend a banger until midnight…and the after party…you dig?

Anyways, Ludacris put out this track last night with Hov and Nas. This song’s message is what we’re all about at hypekillaz, but the wax isnt the hottest we’ve heard from these guys. Good Collabo though.
“I do it for hip hop”-Ludacris feat. Jay-z and Nas
Madukes has been saying this since november the fourth, and Will.I.Am decided to write a song about it. But kids, do a favor, and don’t stop being interested in politics because the race is over, the real work has yet to come.

I’m actually sorry that we’ve been so inconsistent recently. But here’s hoping that will stop.
First, the animated video premiere of “Heartless” by Yeezy. An interesting video for my favorite off “808′s”.
Next a CDQ from Hov’. I’m assuming that it’s off of Blueprint 3, but nevertheless it’s solid, and I’m pretty sure that it refers to Obama in there.

2 New tracks outta mr west recently. one of them I am feeling crazy about, and another one not so much. Myself and Coco Butta disagree on “Robocop”. I think its wackness, but he begs to differ.
However, “Coldest Winter” in my opinion is the hottest song that he has put out on this record so far. So crack, this is the one where I believe that Kanye is actually hurt. Great song.
On another note, this movie will be wild!!!
Filed under: Music | Tags: album leaked, everybody knows, evolver, John Legend, new music

On October 9th, Evolver, John Legends third album was leaked completely to the public. Hearing this news I was upset, but after hearing the record over the past few days I was very happy. ”Everybody knows” is by far my favorite song on the cd. John Legend is one of the best, and most under exposed artists in the business. So, go ahead and download the album now, but do a good musician a favor and buy Evolver on the 28th.
Other hot tracks: “No other love” feat Estelle, “Green Light” feat Andre 3000, “It’s over” f Kanye West, and “Can’t be my lover” (Bonus Track)

This song is actually ridiculous. Another banger verse from Wale, and a nice one from skyzoo. Wale’s album will be mind blowing I can tell. Goddamn 5 minutes-Wale Feat Skyzoo
“My name is S-K-Y-Z-O-O, And I’m Wale Folarin was raised on go-go, their style is so so, my Louis from SoHo.”

Justice took the liberty to mash up Touch the Sky By Kanyeezy and Lupe, and Electric Feel by MGMT. I always love a techno remix, especially when Kanye’s involved. Electric Touch -Justice (Kanye West + MGMT)
Not the newest exclusive, but worth a post

I saw this video, and it didn’t hit me until today that this is actually a really good song and video. Luda is still one of the few mainstream artists that still puts out hot shit regularly…peep floyd mayweather, and his son(?) who is a BEASTTTTT.

New CDQ from John Legend. No other love-fear Estelle His album Revolver is supposed to drop this October! One of the greatest, and most underrated artists of our time. Go buy his album, do some good for the business. I am completely feeling the reggae bounce on this track, bringing back hypekillaz with some GOOD Music.

Kanye Just put “Love Lock Down” on his blog. I personally think this is the worst vocals he has ever put on a track. The beat is more than hot, but it sounds like he recorded the chorus on garageband with a scarf on his face. I honestly laughed when he sang the chorus. He’s trying to cross genres again like he did from producer to rapper, but this is not working out. I love Kanye West to the fullest, but just because you have a voice box doesn’t mean you’re a singer…Disappointing. Hopefully his whole album won’t be like this.
Filed under: Music | Tags: Chicago, ghost house, hip hop, hot sheet, new music, new post
“GhostHouse” is a new group from Chicago who recently won a Battle of the Bands Competition, and is creating heat ever since. “Rockit man” is serious. These guys have electronic beats, with chicago flows. Makes for an interesting combination…The Hook is a tad corny, but the crazy ass beat makes up for it completely.
The album is here, Titled “Group Therapy”
Oh and…They’re White
We apologize for the lack of postage, Isodope and Coco butta are both in AP classes, and we think Kickfluential may be in remedial classes…prayers for him

This beat is basically on that “late 90′s/early 2000′s” dopeness. Produced by Jake-one, this track is pretty good, try it out…let us know what you think.
“The Truth”-Freeway and Brother Ali. Prod: Jake-one
Both Free and Ali drop some relatively ill rhymes, except I’m not feeling Brother Ali’s sing-song spitting…
Filed under: Music | Tags: conscious hip hop, hip hop, mims, new music, Pharell, therapy

Maybe its just Pharell’s production, but I’m feeling “Therapy” by Mims. Way different than “this is why I’m hot”. Take a listen, chorus is fire. I think I can hear some conscious rapping in there, I’m not sure…you decide.
