“And if there’s anyone out there who still doesn’t believe this constitutes a full-blown crisis, I suggest speaking to one of the millions of Americans whose lives have been turned upside down because they don’t know where their next paycheck is coming from.”

–Barack Obama

I am one of those Americans, and to be honest it’s scary. While I don’t completely agree with the current stimulus package ($838 Billion). But I do believe that something needs to be done NOW. We didn’t elect a man preaching change,to be a mediator of debate…we elected him to make change. Our president stepped out wearing a strong red tie, showing his urgency, and got down to business.

The final proposal holds these changes(and more) to the economy:

1. Americans who have lost their jobs through no fault of their own can receive greater unemployment benefits and continue their health care coverage.

2. We will also provide a $2,500 tax credit to folks who are struggling to pay the cost of their college tuition

3. $1000 worth of badly-needed tax relief to working and middle-class families.

4. More than 90% of the jobs created by this plan will be in the private sector

5. They’ll be jobs creating 21st century classrooms, libraries, and labs for millions of children across America. And they’ll be the jobs of firefighters, teachers, and police officers…

Hypekillaz live from DC by isodope

Before Saturday afternoon, I had no idea that I would be here, in DC, for one of the most important events in American History. Early saturday afternoon I got a message from a friend saying that his friend had a spot in his car, and I was welcome. I wasn’t happy, nor excited…I was fucking buggin out son!

Anyways, after a car ride in which every station played “Brooklyn Go Hard” like 17 times, and no traffic we arrived at our other friends aunts house (Coolest family ever). We decided we would go to the “We Are One” Concert at the national mall. We got there, and after walking through thousands of people, while Military helicopters were what felt like right above our heads.

So after wading through the crowds, we found the most open spot and cooled out.  And watched the great show, here was the best performance.

Not to mention Our Presidents Speech….We Goin in!!!!!

I’m actually sorry that we’ve been so inconsistent recently.  But here’s hoping that will stop.

First, the animated video premiere of “Heartless” by Yeezy.  An interesting video for my favorite off “808’s”.

Next a CDQ from Hov’.  I’m assuming that it’s off of Blueprint 3, but nevertheless it’s solid, and I’m pretty sure that it refers to Obama in there.

Green Lantern put out this mixtape with the help of Russell Simmons.  Once you get about 15 minutes in, this shit is actually straight fire.  A combination of Adam Levine, Wale, Kanye, Jay-z, Busta Rhymes, Rhymefest and many many more.  DOwnload this and vote on Nov. fourth. I just signed up for a trip to help get Penn. on our side.  Onsmash deleted the link, so there isn’t a full mixtape until they cut up the different tracks.   But otherwise, download this one hot one with Wale, Rhymefest, and others “Black President pt.2”

On a sadder note, a friend of Hypekillaz was victim of an aneurysm or Hemmorage of the brain, he is ina coma and in critical condition.  He is in our prayers, please bring him into yours.  We sincerely hope that he will pull through this, which we have full confidence he will.

Another mix from Z-Trip. The Picture should be self explanatory.

I encourage you to download it and pass it along to anyone you think should hear it. Feel free to burn copies, share it with friends, family, co-workers, strangers, and especially anyone you know is on the fence about this election. I’m also putting out a radio friendly version, in case anyone wants to broadcast it.

Please share the message. Educate those who may not know what is really going on. There is still time.

If you, or anyone you know, isn’t registered to vote, I encourage you to make it a priority and fix that before it’s too late. This election is WAY too important for anyone to not get involved. Biden-Palin Debate ends in Biden victory… in our opinion by isodope
October 3, 2008, 12:10 pm

First of all…If Joe Biden is not a confirmed baller from that picture, I don’t know what a baller is.  On to the debate:  Thursday at 9PM Senator Joe Biden and Governor Sarah Palin put forth their ideas for the vice presidential bid.

When the Debate began, two minutes in to Bidens speech my friend left the room exclaiming “I can’t take this anymore”.  This set the stage for a long, informational night.  (To be honest I fell asleep for like 10 minutes).  However, to my surprise Governor Palin was extremely clear and strong in her answers to moderator Gwen Ifill (did a great job tonight).  I assumed Palin’s performance tonight would seal the deal for Senator Obama because of her incompetence…but I couldn’t have been more wrong.  Some how in the past week, Mrs. Palin learned how to make her question dodging seem like…An honest answer or something?

On the other hand, Joe Biden did a solid job as usual.  He kept his composure save for one interruption where he discredited Mccain’s Maverick persona saying “Maverick, He is not.”  Joe Biden in my opinion should have been running president in the first place (even though he would not have been elected most likely).  So I am proud and secure in the abilities of Joe Biden as our future Vice President.

All in all Biden: Didn’t lose any votes and may have secured some new votes.

Palin: Was able to make her question avoiding look like concise, straight answers.

Final Verdict:Palin took the L.  I would hit it, no doubt…Donk?????maybe???.

Congratulations Biden

Protest Concert at Democratic National Convention by DLOOS

On August 27th (Wednesday) a protest concert was staged outside the D.N.C. in support of Iraq Veterans Against the War. It started as a 2-mile march across Denver to the Pepsi Center. A mass of what was said to be between 4,500 to 6,000 people gathered outside the Pepsi Center, and refused to stand in what was designated as the protest zone, dubbed the Freedom Cage. Most of the protesters just relaxed, smoking weed and playing dice. Performers included Flobots, The Coup and Rage Against the Machine, who for the first time in their career, played a show which didn’t involve the audience going into a violent frenzy. Among the highlights of the day were RATM breaking into their MC5 cover “Kick Out the Jams” with assistance from MC5 guitarist himself, Wayne Kramer, dressed in all white with an American Flag painted guitar.

“America, we cannot turn back. Not with so much work to be done. Not with so many children to educate, and so many veterans to care for. Not with an economy to fix and cities to rebuild and farms to save. Not with so many families to protect and so many lives to mend. America, we cannot turn back. We cannot walk alone. At this moment, in this election, we must pledge once more to march into the future. Let us keep that promise – that American promise – and in the words of Scripture hold firmly, without wavering, to the hope that we confess.  Thank you, God Bless you, and and God Bless the United States of America.”

                                                                   —Barack Obama

Not to be corny, not to be cliche, and not to be cool:  Senator Barack Obama’s speech was more than a mere oratory.  It was a symbol of hope, a symphony of change, it was a call to action.  It was a helping hand to those in need, and a threat to McCain and Republicans.  When Senator Obama took the stage, the crowd erupted.  However, Obama quieted them down and got down to business.

It is [The American] promise that has always set this country apart – that through hard work and sacrifice, each of us can pursue our individual dreams but still come together as one American family, to ensure that the next generation can pursue their dreams as well.”

Pre-Obama Post by isodope

Ok So I’m gonna try to get everything out before Obama speaks. Bill Richardson did a great job warming up the crowd, and rousing up latinos all around the country. Stevie Wonder came out, and he wasn’t exactly on point. However, When he broke out in to “Sign, Sealed, Delivered, I’m Yours” My confidence in his long-lasting swag…was completely restored. “Livin’ For The City” would be a great theme for this campaign, so why not play that while Democrat-ing.

Anyways, Gore is speaking as I type. So let me get at that right quick. I will post again after Obama’s speech.

“McCain and Bush: Same old policies. I’m in to recycling…But this is ridiculous”

–Al Gore (paraphrased)
