“Black President” remix off the “Yes We Can Mixtape” (Dropping on…Monday?). All three have good verses, and Obama sounds nice on the hook…Lets keep hopping on the bandwagon, maybe he’ll get elected or something.

But seriously, go vote

Ok So I’m gonna try to get everything out before Obama speaks. Bill Richardson did a great job warming up the crowd, and rousing up latinos all around the country. Stevie Wonder came out, and he wasn’t exactly on point. However, When he broke out in to “Sign, Sealed, Delivered, I’m Yours” My confidence in his long-lasting swag…was completely restored. “Livin’ For The City” would be a great theme for this campaign, so why not play that while Democrat-ing.

Anyways, Gore is speaking as I type. So let me get at that right quick. I will post again after Obama’s speech.

“McCain and Bush: Same old policies. I’m in to recycling…But this is ridiculous”

–Al Gore (paraphrased)

Last night, two presidents graced the stage at the Pepsi Center in Denver, Colorado.  The first was former President Bill Clinton.  Clinton’s speech was honest and supportive of Obama.  Bill apparently still has the heart of the party, because the crowd didn’t sit down for a good five minutes before his speech.  His support of Obama may have even been more effective than his wife’s was.  I thought I’d throw in a little Chappelle for some laughs.

Next was Joe Biden.  Biden hit the stage with a lot of applause, but nothing close to Clintons welcome.  Biden’s speech I feel was solid, but it was the weakest of all of the main speeches of the convention.  He spoke to all of the things that were said before, and had some inspiring stories about his childhood.  He did his job of solidifying Obama’s American story.  Luckily, Biden had a secret weapon to win the crowd over.  Check the video.  Remember when I said that 2 presidents graced the stage, well here’s the second.

WATCH OUT FOR THE LAST DAY OF THE DNC, OBAMA IS SPEAKING TONIGHT

Barack and Biden:Change We Can Believe in by isodope

So, earlier today Obama officially announced his v.p. running mate: Joe Biden.  As both Barack and Biden repeatedly said throughout their speeches, they both grew up blue collar, with adversity staring them down.  Now, Politicians have said those types of things for years upon years.  But this time, I believe it.  I think this is a good choice for Obama:  Biden has decades of experience, he’s strong on Foreign Policy, they have worked together before, and frankly…He’s an Old white guy, and that’s the vote that Obama hasn’t been getting.  I hope these two, together can make America mean what it’s supposed to be, and this speech shows us, that it is not too far fetched.

“Barack Obama and I believe, we believe with every fiber in our being that our families, our communities as Americans, there’s not a single solitary challenge we cannot face if we level with the American people. And I don’t say that to say it; history, history has shown it. When have Americans ever, ever, ever, ever, ever let their country down when they’ve had a leader to lead them?… Ladies and gentlemen, it’s time to elect Barack Obama president. It’s our time. It’s America’s time. God bless America.”

—Joe Biden in Springfield, Illinois.
